Beasty (Aurora) JM American Staffordshire Terrier Young Female in Carnegie, Pennsylvania

My story
Beasty is aptly named. She dives into any task, whether play or food. She is rough around the edges, still, but getting better daily. She loves to play, and a tennis ball is her favorite thing currently. She still needs work on giving you the toy/ball to toss for her, but not as bad as she was. She does resource guard, but I do not give into that at all and am very forward with her, showing her I am the alpha and not her. It is working and every day she is a bit better.

Beasty loves to run and has boundless energy. She will chase a ball with the same intensity she does a leaf. She does not like puppies too much, but with very slow introductions does well with adults. She is very "in your face and excited about everything, which takes a bit of getting used to on the other dogs' part.

Beasty is crate trained but does still have the occasional accident. We feed her in her crate (as we do all our fosters) but she is still very food guarding. She barks a bit before she will settle down and eat. With time and patience she will get over it and realize she will be fed at every feeding and that all the food is hers.

Beasty needs some TLC. She is well on her way to becoming an amazing dog.
